Danielle Arbuckle
Chief Operating Officer
Danielle Arbuckle serves as the Chief Operating Officer at ActiveMed Integrative Health Center, where she leads with empathy, integrity, and a deep commitment to creating a healthcare experience that is inclusive, compassionate, and exceptional. Under her leadership, ActiveMed has expanded to multiple locations, grown a diverse and talented team of providers and patient care coordinators, and built systems that ensure patients receive seamless, personalized, and dignified care.
Raised by a psychologist father and a counselor mother, Danielle grew up in a home where emotional intelligence and kindness were daily practice. Her parents taught her to communicate through “I feel” statements, to listen before reacting, and to see others through a lens of empathy and understanding. Their refrigerator displayed “rules for fighting fair,” and their kitchen held a “treasure box” of affirmations that reminded the family to lead with love. On difficult days, her mother would slip a small heart stone beneath her pillow, a quiet gesture that taught Danielle that care is expressed through action and presence, not just words. Those early lessons became the foundation of how she lives and leads today.
Growing up in Ramstein, Germany, surrounded by families from around the world, Danielle was immersed in cultural diversity from an early age. Her neighbors represented different races, religions, and traditions, teaching her that inclusion and respect are non-negotiable parts of a healthy community. Germany also shaped her belief in holistic wellness. Preventive medicine was the norm, not the exception. Organic food, local farm-to-table produce, and time outdoors were simply part of everyday life. Whether it was raining or snowing, families still walked, biked, and spent time in nature. Those experiences built Danielle’s conviction that wellbeing is not only physical but emotional, environmental, and social, a philosophy that now defines her approach to patient care and organizational leadership.
Danielle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Entrepreneurship from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she studied social impact and the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. Her values of empathy, equity, and sustainability became even more personal when her mother, Noreen, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Through that experience, Danielle saw firsthand how integrative medicine, empathy, and patient-centered care brought comfort and hope, even in the most difficult times. It solidified her life’s mission to ensure patients have access to care that treats them as whole human beings, mind, body, and spirit.
“I look at every patient as if they were my mom,” Danielle says. “Empathy drives every decision I make, and I’ll always go above and beyond to make sure our patients and our team are cared for in every possible way.”
At ActiveMed, Danielle blends strategic vision with heart-led leadership. She believes that by taking care of the hard things, the insurance barriers, administrative challenges, and everyday frustrations, her team frees patients to focus on healing. She is dedicated to cultivating a culture of growth, inclusion, and excellence, where every team member is encouraged to develop their potential and every patient is treated with compassion, respect, and dignity.
In honor of her mother, Noreen Mantini, whose guiding words were “You can do hard things” and “Do everything you can and one thing more,” Danielle lives each day with purpose and gratitude. She continues to build a future for healthcare that is inclusive, holistic, and human-centered, a place where care, connection, and compassion come first.
