Melissa Glidewell-Rios

Melissa was born in Palm Springs, California to a family that emphasized the phrase “Never wonder what if.” She learned to embrace change and be open to all possibilities.  Often, Melissa would massage the shoulders and necks of her family and friends, but wasn’t sure she wanted to make massage a career. She graduated high school early and sought to pursue a career in Court Reporting. However, she found that it wasn’t making the change for better in others that she wanted to encourage. So she took a break and worked at Starbucks for a few years. During that time, she would work on her coworkers and was encouraged by them telling her to look into massage as a life-long career. Melissa began her journey with attending school at Cortiva Seattle in Seattle, Washington in 2015. Her schooling primarily focused on the medical side of massage and jump started her interest in prenatal and manual lymphatic drainage. Melissa utilizes techniques from deep tissue and injury protocols into each massage along with stretching to encourage the changes each patient seeks.
